Ballantrae Youth Club
Established in late 2023, Ballantrae Youth Club has been developed as a partnership between Girvan Youth Trust and Ballantrae Community Council. The Youth Club is funded by Ballantrae Community Fund which is administered by Foundation Scotland.
In consultation with the young people, Ballantrae Community Council found that the young people of the village were bored. Transport links into Girvan weren't exactly supportive to young people accessing any out of school activities in Girvan, thus came the need and creation of Ballantrae Youth Club.
Dailly Youth Club
Established in October 2024, the formation of Dailly Youth Club has been in partnership with Dailly Community Development Trust.
The village was a hotspot for youth disorder - with it's vast countryside, nooks and crannies - and little else for young people to do, the proposl to develop and deliver a Youth Club in the village was an obvious choice.
Both Village Youth Clubs allow the opportunity for youth worker to start building relationships with young people before they transition from their respective Primary Schools to Secondary School. In the last 2 School Years, we have found these Youth Clubs to be extremely beneficial to the rural young people and as such has given them a head start on engaging in local youth work.
